Building the count

Every line on this page is an item with a state. The board at the top is live from the hosted engine. Nothing here is a forecast, and nothing trades.

Done Waiting on you With us For your counsel Next

Right now, on the board

Snapshot from September 15

Twelve watched pairs across football and baseball, priced every 20 seconds on four venues. Net is what is left after both venues' fees, slippage and a safety margin. A row only counts as an opportunity above a 4 percent net gate. Every row below the gate is the honest state of the market, not a demo effect.

    Where the product stands

What is live today on the dashboard, and what is not, on purpose.

    • Live board on real pricesDoneA hosted engine evaluates eight watched pairs continuously. The set is refreshed every week so the board is never half dead. Refreshed September 2 for this weekend's games.
    • Second priced venue: Kalshi, data onlyDoneThe engine reads Kalshi's public market data next to Polymarket and compares the two on the same game. Four college football games this weekend sit on the board as true cross-venue pairs. Kalshi is a US venue for trading, so it stays a data feed here.
    • Honest fees on every rowDonePolymarket has charged sports takers since July and Kalshi charges on its own curve. The engine now charges both at each leg's price, so every net edge is after real costs. The board got about three points less flattering, and correct.
    • Market pulse across sportsbooks and prediction marketsDoneBest line per side across up to nine sportsbooks, with Kalshi, Polymarket, Novig and ProphetX prices beside them. Reference only, never executable.
    • The desk: ten screens, plain-words onboarding, a guide, a twelve-step tour, full mobileDoneOverview, opportunities, positions (paper), connections with an honest venue directory, treasury, agents, activity, a Guide page in plain words (what it does today, what it does not do yet, how to read a row, every word we use), settings. First run is four short cards; the tour walks all twelve stops. Hover hints on every term, works on a phone.
    • The structure matches the legal planDoneEvery investor and user holds their own accounts; the platform never pools funds and never holds keys. That is the structure your lawyers required, and it is how the desk was built from day one.
    • Compliance built in, not bolted onDoneJurisdiction rules mapped for 50 venues; an eight-gate risk validator in deterministic code; trading hard-gated off; no client keys ever held by Stratos.
    • 545 automated tests, all greenDoneEngine 350, dashboard 195. Every build chunk goes through an independent review before it merges.
    • Economics report on the first cross-venue dataWith usRuns Thursday on this week's live evaluations. If nothing cleared the gate, the report says zero. It will not invent a would-have-made number.
    • Trade alerts for manual executionWith usUntil automation is proven, a row that clears the gate reaches the right account holder as an alert with the exact legs, over Telegram, day or night. Your team places it by hand on SmartStake or the provincial books. Next build after the demo.
    • SX Bet on the board as the third venue, on your key, read onlyDoneThe engine reads SX Bet's V3 order book and your account on the key that arrived September 15. Three NFL games sit on the board as Polymarket against SX Bet, and one, Lions against Bills, as BetDEX against SX Bet: the first pair where both legs are on exchanges you hold. Nothing places an order.
    • Exchange fees charged the way the exchanges charge themDoneBetDEX and SX Bet take a percentage of net winnings, not of the stake, so a favourite costs less and an underdog costs more. The engine now charges 1 percent of winnings on both, read from your own SX account. Every row moved by fractions of a percent; all eight stay negative after fees, which is the honest market.
    • Live tradingNot yet, by designPaper first. Execution needs your exchange accounts (below) and, for anyone trading from Canada, your counsel's answers (further below). US-user execution stays on the roadmap behind a state-by-state allow list.

    Where the market stands

A full recheck of the venues, fees, regulation and market size, done September 2 against primary sources. Five lines, and what each one changes for us.

    • Canada drew the line on offshore sports productsFor your counselOn August 27 the securities regulators (CSA and CIRO) said sports event contracts are a provincial gambling matter, and within a day Alberta's AGLC, BC's IGCO and Loto-Quebec each said offshore versions are unregulated or illegal in their province. Alberta's regulated market opened July 13 with no exchange or prediction market among 29 brands; October 13 is the exit date for unregistered operators. Polymarket has blocked trading from Alberta, BC, Ontario and Quebec since July 6. Kalshi reaches Canada only through Wealthsimple, with no sports.
    • The exchanges opened up on accessWaiting on youBetDEX made its API public in May with a self-serve production key, still 1 percent on net profit. SX Bet shipped V3 on August 26: new keys, proxy wallets, a 1 percent taker fee, public price reads. Sportmarket is unchanged. No new exchange accepts Canadians with an API. Your accounts on these three are the next step (items 1 to 3 below).
    • Prediction-market fees are no longer zeroHandledPolymarket sports takers pay about 2.5 percent of notional at even odds, Kalshi publishes per-series fees, Polymarket US charges 6 basis points on the fee curve. The engine charges all of it.
    • The APIs changed underneath usHandledPolymarket runs a new order book version with new market fields; Kalshi moved hosts and formats. Both adapted, all tests green.
    • The US market consolidated, the courts split, the money peakedWatchingDraftKings, Robinhood, Underdog (sold to IG Group), Fanatics, Novig and Polymarket US run their own exchanges; none accepts Canadians. A federal appeals court ruled August 28 that sports contracts are bets, not swaps, splitting with an earlier ruling. Kalshi plus Polymarket did about $53B in July and $45B in August, the first monthly decline in a year.

    What we need from you

Eleven items. Keys and wallet addresses go over Telegram or WhatsApp, never email. Reply with the item number and we take it from there.

    • 1BetDEX production accessReceived September 15 Your App ID, API key and Wallet ID. BetDEX opened its API to the public in May, so this is self-serve and takes minutes. Our side is already proven against BetDEX's test exchange as of September 11: the engine signs in, lists open markets and reads live price ladders there, so your production key plugs straight in. How: sign in at betdex.com, complete Basic Verification under Account, then Account, API, Generate API Key. Save the key when it appears; it is shown once. Send the three values over Telegram. Unlocks the first execution venue, paper trading first, then small stakes when the gates are green.
    • 2SX Bet account and keyReceived September 15 The API key arrived September 15 and is live on the engine: your order book and account read, read only. One thing still open: the 200 USDC deposit into the proxy wallet. The engine reads the balance directly, so once it lands nothing else is needed from you. How: sign up at sx.bet (not available in Ontario), then Account, Overview, generate an API key. Deploy the proxy wallet in the setup wizard and fund it with USDC. Send the key and the wallet address over Telegram. Unlocks the second exchange leg. Public prices go on the board before that, without a key.
    • 3Sportmarket and PS3838: where the signup stalledWaiting on you Update September 17: the control sheet shows the Sportmarket account is open with its documents still to upload, so that is where it stopped. The path from here: upload ID and proof of address and pass the liveness check; put at least 100 euro on the account; open a support ticket asking for PS3838 activation; then send the PS3838 API credentials. Unlocks the sharp bookmaker leg, the counterpart most cross-venue edges need.
    • 4The accounts your team trades by hand, by provinceReceived September 17 The control sheet arrived September 17: 48 accounts, 25 on the BC sheet and 23 on the Alberta sheet, plus the Ontario, Manitoba and Canada-wide directories. We recorded the book, the province and the verification state only. The usernames and passwords in the sheet were not copied anywhere; the platform never logs in to a sportsbook and does not need them. Of the 48, 28 match a book in the odds feed, which is what lets the scanner show a price gap only when you hold an account on both sides.
    • 5Data subscriptions, in your nameOdds API received; SportsGameOdds month three Per the plan these are passthrough costs on your card. The Odds API 20K plan key arrived September 15 and is live: the market pulse now refreshes hourly across NFL, college football and MLB. SportsGameOdds Pro at 299 dollars a month from month three. One thing to watch: the site is the-odds-api.com, with the hyphen. A different company at theoddsapi.com, no hyphen, uses the same name and its keys do not work here. Keys come to us over Telegram, never by email; they stay yours. Unlocks faster refresh and more books on the market pulse.
    • 6Two short meetings a week, and the walkthrough once the accounts are liveWaiting on you This page and the live desk are the package we promised. We are not booking the walkthrough until the accounts and keys in items 1 to 5 are in, so it runs on your own venues instead of sample data. Two short progress calls a week in the meantime; Tuesday and Friday at 12:00 Calgary is our suggestion.
    • 7Your lawyers' one-line answers to eight questionsWaiting on you Your lawyers have vetted the corporate structure, the subscription agreement and the Criminal Code position. The eight questions below are specific to how the software operates. Forward the section as is; a line per question is all we need.
    • 8Your GitHub usernameWaiting on you The code transfers to an organisation you own at handover. We need the username to invite.
    • 9Two signatures on the re-papered agreement, attached to today's emailWaiting on you Sent September 3. The agreement moves to Equanta Systems Inc. with the same money and the same scope, and it states plainly that Stratos builds and runs the software while Equanta operates the trading, holds every account and key, and decides every trade. Open the PDF, click a signature box, type your name and the date. Two boxes are yours: one as yourself, one as director. Save and send it back. Invoices go to the company from then on.
    • 10Move equantas.com into Arshia's GoDaddy accountWaiting on you equantas.com sits in your GoDaddy account, so its DNS cannot be managed from ours. Moving it is free and takes two minutes; Arshia's account details are in the email. How: GoDaddy, My Products, Domains, equantas.com, then Transfer, "Move to another GoDaddy account", enter Arshia's email and customer number, confirm. equanta.ca stays exactly as it is for your email and the investor page. Unlocks app.equantas.com for the desk, status.equantas.com for this page, and a real address in front of investors.
    • 11The shareholders agreement and the final legal setWaiting on you The subscription agreement arrived by email today, thank you. The unanimous shareholders agreement and anything else in the final set let us keep the build and the paperwork aligned.

    For your counsel

Your lawyers have already vetted the structure. These eight are specific to how the software operates, written for them to answer in a line each. Until the first two are answered, the platform stays monitoring and data only for anyone in Canada. This is what regulators and statutes say; it is not legal advice.

    • 1Does Alberta's new iGaming rule reach a Calgary-run engine? For your counselAlberta's Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Act section 49.1 (in force June 18, 2026) says no person may "provide goods or services for an iGaming site" unless registered and contracted, and counts "management or consulting services" as goods and services. Penalty up to $500,000 or 12 months. Does that wording reach software that submits orders to BetDEX, SX Bet or PS3838 for a user located in Alberta, and does the answer change after October 13, 2026?
    • 2Do the Criminal Code betting provisions reach a multi-user tool? For your counselSections 202 and 203 cover "the business or occupation of betting", transmitting information "intended to assist in betting", and placing bets "on behalf of another person for a consideration". Section 204 exempts private bets between individuals not in the business of betting. Where does a platform sit in which each user holds their own venue accounts and keys and the software signs orders under the user's own credentials for a subscription fee?
    • 3Player-side exposure, province by provinceFor your counselWe found no primary source that makes an individual's use of an offshore site an offence in Alberta, BC, Ontario or Quebec, but Alberta's Act lets regulations designate one. Confirm the position in each province so sign-in disclosures are accurate.
    • 4Is a licensed route worth pricing? For your counselAlberta's standards recognise "exchange betting" as a product type, the AGLC invites entities offering sports products to contact it, and Ontario already licenses one betting exchange. What registration would the platform need if it integrated with a registered operator instead of offshore venues, and would that change the answers to questions 1 and 2?
    • 5BetDEX's move to an Anjouan-only licenceFor your counselOn July 1, 2026 BetDEX migrated every account from its Irish licence to an Anjouan (Comoros) licence. Any FINTRAC, anti-money-laundering or consumer-protection consequence for a Canadian user, or for our due-diligence file?
    • 6Read-only market data from Polymarket and KalshiFor your counselPolymarket permits market data globally while blocking trading from four provinces; the 2025 Ontario settlement includes an undertaking about Ontario residents "using" Polymarket. Confirm nothing in that settlement or in the August 27 guidance touches read-only price ingestion, and the same for Kalshi's public API.
    • 7The Supreme Court hearing on October 7For your counselThe Court hears the appeal on whether Ontario may pool its players with players outside Canada, with Alberta intervening. Map both outcomes onto the product so the engine's flags are ready when the decision lands.
    • 8How long Ontario stays closed on PolymarketFor your counselThe two-year market ban runs to about April 2027; the undertaking to keep Ontario residents off Polymarket has no end date in the public summary. Does Ontario reopen in April 2027 or not?
    • What we do meanwhileWith usEvery Canadian province stays execution-off by default; venue kill switches sit per province; October 13 is logged as a regime change; the four provinces Polymarket blocks are hard-coded; data reads stay on everywhere. Nothing changes without your counsel's answers.

    What shipped, newest first

The build log since the engagement began.

    • The desk redrawn as a worksheet, baseball on the board, the Equanta markSep 15, 2026, lateThe dashboard was rebuilt from the ground up as one ruled sheet per page: the 4 percent line is drawn as a real line with every watched pair sitting on it, each row of the board is the same sum (gap, minus fees, what is left, against the line), and colour only appears when a pair clears the line. Five places on the rail: Desk, Board, Positions, Venues, Activity, plus Guide and Settings; balances moved beside each venue. The board grew to twelve pairs with four MLB games beside the football. Equanta has a mark now. Verified in a real browser at desktop and phone width.
    • Equanta is on its own domain, with real sign-inSep 21, 2026, eveningThank you for the GoDaddy access. The desk now lives at dashboard.equantas.com, this page at status.equantas.com, and a public landing page at equantas.com with a request-a-demo form. Sign-in is real now: your email address, a six-digit code, no password. Your account is set up with your role and Alberta as your jurisdiction. The engine only answers signed-in users. The old links keep working and forward to the new ones.
    • The desk now shops props, totals and spreads across every book, and shows what is positiveSep 21, 2026You asked for props, team totals and handicaps, and for actual opportunities on the front page. Both are live. The desk now reads player props (passing, rushing, receiving, receptions, anytime touchdown; batter hits, total bases, home runs, pitcher strikeouts), team totals, and every alternate total and spread across 29 books in five regions, including the Canadian books you hold, the US books, the European books and the prediction markets. Every two-sided line at the same number on two different books is checked after fees and listed on the Desk and the Board, positive rows first, with a filter per market type and a switch for books you hold. The first scan found 974 lines, 27 positive before fees and 9 positive after, the best plus 1.13 percent on a receptions line. Every one of the positive rows tonight involves a US-only book, and each row says so. The exchange board was also refreshed for the week after the weekend's games settled; it had gone empty, which is what you saw Monday morning.
    • Account list received; the desk is easier to use on a phoneSep 17, 2026Your control sheet arrived: 48 accounts across BC and Alberta. We keep the book, the province and whether verification is finished, never the logins. It tells the scanner which price gaps you can actually act on, tells the jurisdiction rules which books count in which province, and lets alerts name a book you already hold. It also shows the Sportmarket account waiting on its documents, which is the next step for the sharp bookmaker leg. Separately, the desk had a full phone pass: every page checked on small screens, larger tap targets on the info buttons, and the glossary on the Guide page now reads top to bottom on a phone.
    • All three keys live; SX Bet is the third venue; the desk explains itselfSep 15, 2026, eveningTheresa sent the Odds API 20K plan key and the SX Bet API key. Both went straight into the engine's locked secret store and were verified live: 20,000 credits on the Odds API, and SX Bet answering with your order book, your fee schedule (1 percent taker, 0 maker) and your proxy wallet (deployed, no USDC yet). The board now watches eight pairs across four venues: Polymarket, Kalshi, BetDEX and SX Bet, including Lions against Bills priced BetDEX against SX Bet, both legs on exchanges you hold. Exchange fees are now charged as a share of winnings, the way the exchanges charge them. The desk got a plain-words first run, a Guide page, and a twelve-step tour re-read against the live state. Still open on your side: the 200 USDC into the SX proxy, Sportmarket, the account list, the counsel answers and the signed agreement.
    • First credentials in, BetDEX production connectedSep 15, 2026Your Odds API key, the BetDEX production key and the SX wallet address arrived and went straight into the engine's locked secret store. BetDEX is connected on your account, reading only: the engine signs in and can see every open market. The board was refreshed for this week's games, eight of eight pricing. Still needed for SX: the API key and the deposit confirmation. Next up: a recorded walkthrough you can watch on your own time.
    • Board re-seeded for the weekend, and the account questions answeredSep 11, 2026Seven of the eight watched pairs resolved during the week, so the board was refreshed to eight live pairs for September 12 to 14: an NFL game, two Premier League games, one NFL future, and four college football games priced on both Polymarket and Kalshi. Theresa asked which accounts are needed for reading versus trading; the answer is on this page under items 1 to 5, and the short version is that reading needs only the correct Odds API key while BetDEX and SX keys are for execution, and no private key is ever asked for. Same evening: the engine was proven against BetDEX's test exchange (sign-in, open markets, live price ladders) and connected to SX Bet's test network, so both venues are ready for your keys the moment they arrive.
    • Second priced venue live, and honest feesSep 2, 2026The engine reads Kalshi's public market data alongside Polymarket and compares the two on the same games: four college football games this weekend sit on the board as true cross-venue pairs next to four single-venue rows, with the weekend's seed refreshed. Every edge is now shown after real prediction-market taker fees. The market pulse lists Kalshi, Polymarket, Novig and ProphetX prices next to the sportsbooks. A full industry recheck is done. Test suite grew to 484.
    • Full mobile supportJul 16, 2026The whole dashboard now works properly on a phone: a slide-out menu, screens that fit without sideways scrolling, tables you can swipe within, and the guided tour sized for small screens. Test suite grew to 394.
    • Guided tour and venue directoryJul 16, 2026First visit opens an eight-step guided tour of the whole desk. Deploying an agent is two clicks, with a daily limit so an agent can never overspend. Connections became a directory of every venue on the roadmap with honest statuses. Soccer markets simplified to two-sided views. Test suite grew to 376.
    • Plain language across the platformJul 16, 2026Every page reworked so the numbers explain themselves: hover hints on every term, a legend for red and green edges, and each opportunity row expands to walk through the math in plain words.
    • Multi-venue market boardJul 15, 2026Opportunities rebuilt as a vertical live board: every watched pair with both legs, the fee math spelled out, and the full venue set shown honestly. New cross-bookmaker market pulse, live from the hosted engine.
    • The dashboard went live, publiclyJul 15, 2026The platform runs on real market data end to end: a hosted engine evaluates the watched pairs continuously and the dashboard shows every pair, price and edge as it happens. Monitoring only, no live trading.
    • Platform elevation and live captureJul 15, 2026The engine watches real sports markets continuously; the dashboard shows every watched pair with live edges, a paper-positions view, redesigned onboarding, and motion polish. Two build chunks, test suite grew to 227, each independently reviewed.
    • BetDEX sandbox connected end to endJul 13, 2026Session, health and market reads verified against the live sandbox API. Package name secured on PyPI. 170 automated tests green.
    • Kickoff, all confirmations inJul 13, 2026Plan confirmed in writing, onboarding checklist delivered, venue account signups begin. Decision locked: paper trading first, no live trading until every key is in and health checks are green. Alberta's regulated market opened the same day.
    • Detection MVP mergedJul 6, 2026Live data wiring end to end: detection runner, signals capture, economics report, dashboard live mode. Test suite grew from 64 to 167, all green.
    • Master plan and venue registryJul 4, 2026Month by month execution plan and a 50-venue map across the US and Canada, re-verified against primary sources.
    • Named EquantaJun 30, 2026Product renamed for clean venue onboarding; both live sites moved to Equanta addresses.
    • Dashboard v2 and design systemJun 12, 2026Nine-screen command center rebuilt on the Butter executive design system; engine risk gates and sizing modules landed with tests.
    • Engagement signedJun 5, 2026Statement of work executed; build sequence locked.
